This 3-day event promises an unparalleled opportunity for collaboration, education, and advancement in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA, also known as bile duct cancer) research.

On Wednesday, April 17, the conference will kick off with a special day dedicated to patients and caregivers. This day will feature informative sessions tailored to the needs of those affected by CCA, providing updates on CCF’s programs and offering valuable insights from patients and caregivers.
In addition, a new basic science track will be introduced, catering to researchers and providers keen on exploring the fundamental aspects of CCA.
On Thursday and Friday, April 18-19, the focus will shift to the scientific community, with 2 days dedicated to showcasing the latest developments in research, clinical advancements, and treatment options for CCA. Renowned experts from around the world will present cutting-edge findings, fostering lively discussions and opportunities for networking.

The conference will feature distinguished co-chairs, including Angela Lamarca, MD, PhD, MSc, from Fundación Jiménez Diaz University Hospital, Mitesh J. Borad, MD, from the Mayo Clinic, and Do-Youn Oh, MD, PhD, from Seoul National University Hospital. These esteemed leaders and 50 other speakers will contribute to sessions focusing on basic, translational, and clinical research.
In addition to scientific presentations, the conference will honor individuals who have significantly contributed to the CCA community with the prestigious Mark R. Clements Award. This award recognizes volunteerism, community impact, vision, innovation, and collaboration, embodying the spirit of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
As the incidence of CCA continues to rise, with projections indicating it could become the third deadliest cancer in the United States by 2040, the need for advocacy, funding, and education is more critical than ever.
