The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF) is thrilled to announce the upcoming 13th Annual Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation Conference, set to take place in Salt Lake City, UT, from May 1-3, 2026, with a virtual option also available. The conference will convene leading researchers, clinicians, patients, caregivers, and advocates to explore the latest advancements in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), and foster collaboration across the community. This year’s conference also celebrates CCF’s 20th anniversary, making it a particularly special gathering.
This event presents a unique opportunity for patients, caregivers, advocates, researchers, scientists, industry representatives, and healthcare providers to come together, learn from one another, advance progress, and collaborate on problem-solving. Patients and caregivers find community in spending time with others who understand their challenges, and can offer support and a sense of connection. We know this year will provide even more meaningful collaboration. Please register today, and we look forward to seeing you in May.
The conference will kick off with a special day dedicated to patients and caregivers on Friday, May 1. This day will feature informative sessions tailored to the needs of those affected by CCA, providing updates on CCF’s programs and firsthand accounts from patients and caregivers.
On Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, the focus will shift to science, with 2 days dedicated to showcasing the latest developments in research, clinical advancements, and treatment options for CCA. Renowned experts from around the world will present cutting-edge findings, fostering lively discussions and networking opportunities.
The conference will feature 2 distinguished co-chairs, Luke Boulter, PhD, from the University of Edinburgh, and Tim F. Greten, MD, from the National Cancer Institute. These esteemed leaders will join more than 25 other speakers to contribute to updates in CCA research.
A special Awards Dinner will also take place to honor individuals who have significantly contributed to the CCA community with the prestigious Mark R. Clements Award. This award recognizes volunteerism, community impact, vision, innovation, and collaboration, embodying the spirit of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. There will also be time for networking and celebrating the community.
The latest data from the American Cancer Society show a concerning increase in liver cancer cases, with CCA now accounting for a significant portion of these diagnoses. With projections indicating that it could become the third deadliest cancer in the United States by 2040, the need for advocacy, funding, and education is more crucial than ever. The Annual Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation Conference serves as a beacon of hope, uniting dedicated individuals and organizations to combat this devastating disease.
Registration for the conference is now open, and participants are encouraged to secure their spots early to avoid missing out. Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, researcher, or healthcare provider, your participation is vital in advancing CCA research, treatment, and care.
